We welcome Dutch producer and internationally acclaimed DJ, Jaydee back to Bonzai Progressive with the superb 'Bondara'. His name inextricably linked with electronic dance music, in 1992 the game-changing track, 'Plastic Dreams', was hailed as a master stroke and is still regarded as a true, one-of-a-kind classic and remains one of the most remixed tracks in house music. Over the decades he's showcased his skills in both production and DJing and continues to do so to this day. In more recent years he's delivered a raft of quality cuts for us at Bonzai, including the much-loved album 'This Is Jaydee'. Expect to hear more form the master in the future.
The Original Mix opens the release, introing with a smooth, tribal-esque percussion arrangement. Chunky beats and crisp hats come through as a subtle plucky bassline fades in. Short, subtle notes combine to form a blippy sequence that draws us in as a dreamy vocal captures the imagination. Rich and deep, this one is a definite must have. Manu Riga and Phi Phi, two highly skilled and accomplished musicians in the world of electronic music, have teamed up once again to deliver an exceptional remix. This latest interpretation is just one in a series of remixes from the duo, as well as their impressive solo efforts. Drawing on their many years of experience in the industry, Phi Phi brings his expertise from the club scene and studio, while Manu Riga showcases his exemplary production skills to craft some seriously infectious beats that are sure to get you moving. On the remix here, the guys get straight down to it with a nice, deep intro made up of punchy kicks and a mesmerizing bassline. Perfectly placed notes and FX create a wide, cinematic atmosphere as subtle arps come in. On the break, the enchanting vocal adds depth alongside a pulsing bass and airy pads before returning to the main groove for the final act. Superb stuff once again, not to be missed.
