Next up for Desert Hearts Black comes a transatlantic meeting of minds in the form of 'Fade' by heavy hitters John Monkman and Rinzen.
As two artists with solo careers already in high gear, John and Rinzen have been in each other's orbits for a number of years via remixes, however this marks their first track together – and what a debut it is!
John is signed to a number of great imprints including Kompakt, Ellum and Last Night On Earth, and with a Beatport #1 and the endorsement of the scene's elite behind him, he debuted his new live show at none other than Coachella Festival in 2018 wowing the critics in the process.
Rinzen is a product of the burgeoning LA dance scene. Breaking out in 2017, he's quickly established himself with releases on labels like Bedrock, Oddity and Factory93. Widely described as having an otherworldly sound, his unique soundtrack has delighted fans around the world at shows as diverse as Printworks (London), Stereo (Montreal) and beyond.
Aimed squarely at the peak time, 'Fade' launches into life from the first beat. Techy percussion and synth washes marry with the killer drums for instant impact. Melodies up the ante – creating a sense of dancefloor euphoria from the first drop. Growing throughout the track, the tension is finally lifted with rich vocals delivered by Monkman, leading to an emphatic finale. An anthemic journey that will delight clubland all through 2023.
