Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Biosphere, are a some of the Masters in the history of ambient music. They were the first ones to experiment with modular synthesizers in the 70's: Monstrous instruments that could easily come from a sci-fi/horror.
