After a successful 'Ubuntu' EP on our sister label Sirin Music, and appearing on Bar 25 Music as part of several compilations, thds comes back with a full album 'Rêves'. Belgian-Portuguese composer and multi-instrumentalist combines ethnic and acoustic influences in a piece of melodic and organic electronic music. Since the beginning in 2018, thds has been released on labels like Akumandra, Sol Selectas, and performed live at some of the most respected venues across Europe and further.
'Reading more and more about climate change and the unprecedented challenges our civilisation is facing, I went into a positive/depressive process', the artist says. 'The album reflects the different phases I went through over a year. 1. Rêves: Dreaming about the future. 2. Noîr: Falling into depression. 3. Târd: Partying and avoiding reflection. 4. Ivêr: Isolate myself in a safe place and avoid negative thoughts. 5. Ôbscur: Changing habits to adapt. 6. Fîne: Getting back to reflecting on how to face new societal challenges. 7. Avêk: Finding ways to turn dark thoughts into positive energy. 8. Lakôta: Finding inspiration and positiveness in the world. 9. Desolê: Apologizing for being negative and a burden to people around me during this whole process.
