Closing out a strong summer season, Ziger's Eat My Hat welcomes Redspace back to the label alongside debutant ISMAIL.M for a new three-track showcase. Hailing from Russia and Bulgaria respectively, both Redspace and ISMAIL.M have made their mark on the electronic underground through successful solo productions. The duo's combined discography is highlighted by releases via Juicebox Music, Transensations Records and Univack, while world class DJs Black Coffee, Dubfire, Mind Against, John Digweed and more have been supporters along the way. Paired as occasional studio partners for some time, Redspace and ISMAIL.M now follow a joint project for Suprematic with their Eat My Hat debut 'Azimuth'. Redspace and ISMAIL.M continue to explore modern melodic house narratives on the lead selection 'Azimuth'. Rhythmically charged throughout, its chunky cadence, devilish stabs and mesmerizing percussion set the piece on a course for hypnotic enlightenment. Bending tones marry perfectly with granular textures leading into the break, before a glowing musical theme emerges for the ultimate dance floor moment and impending melodic finale. The second selection 'Not Available' proves to be a worthy complement with its deep, driving energy. Punchy beats power the groove, while percolating rhythms and striking stabs add space and intrigue. Continuing to evolve as the main break commences; telephonic vocal samples and a timeless tonal theme create a unique emotional response, before eventually melting down into a thumping drop and prophetically styled final act. The third and final selection 'Monotonophobia' continues the EP's electric flow with a strong effects narrative. A rolling low end sets the track in motion as clattering percussion, orbiting sonics and gaseous atmospheres move through the framework as the main break approaches. Foggy and mysterious, the interlude sits at the core of the storyboard, with its cross-cultural appeal eventually revealing a trail of pitch-bending effects, before perfectly segueing into a stomping finale to round out the release on a high note.
